Rates For Audio Transcription:
As I do not outsource any of my work, I am able to charge the customer less compared to transcription companies who do outsource.  I charge a fee per audio minute, depending on how many speakers, so obviously, depending on the number of speakers and nature of the work, my rate per audio minute would vary slightly, obviously the lowest rate would apply for one speaker.

Per Audio Minute Fee:
From 0.70p

Proofreading of all work is included in all fees and there is no increase for out of hours/weekend work.

I do not charge VAT.

Charging per audio minute means that you pay by the length of a dictation rather than by an hourly rate and, therefore,  there are no surprises when it comes to invoicing.  Customers can see what a dictation will cost before deciding to outsource.

Transcription is a skilled and specialised area. The industry standard for transcribing an audio file takes approximately one hour for every 15 minutes of audio, dependent upon the speed at which the dictator speaks, clarity of person speaking etc.

Rates For Proofreading / Editing:
£5.95 per one thousand words.

Rates For Copy Typing:
£6.95 per one thousand words.

Terms of Business:
Please make payment within 5 days of the date on the invoice.
Payment can be made by BACS or PayPal.
Invoices are normally submitted upon completion of assignment / transcription.
